Ms. Laura Wentworth

I absolutely love WLES and our school community.  I attended Warrensburg-Latham schools kindergarten-12th grade.  I am so fortunate to be able to serve the school that provided me with an excellent education and school experience.  I've been in education for nearly 20 years as both a teacher and administrator at all grade levels.  Our motto at WLES is: Work Hard.  Be Kind.  We not only want to provide students with a rich educational experience, but also model and teach kindness.  My focus is to get all students reading on grade-level by the time they leave WLES.  A strong reading foundation is essential in students meeting their educational and career goals.  My primary responsibility is to be the instructional leader of the building by supporting teachers and student learning.  I make decisions based upon this focus to ensure we are always doing what is best for students.  We are blessed to have a strong school community with high parental involvement which allows us to provide so many valuable opportunities to our students.  #wlcardpride

Mrs. Amber Balfour

Hello!  I am the School Administration Manager (SAM) for WLES.  I have been with the district since 2017.  I started my career at WLES working as a parent liaison for our preschool program and loved it.  When the SAM position became available, I knew this would be the perfect position for me due to my commitment and passion for supporting WLES students and staff.  The purpose of my position is to handle the managerial work of the principal so that she may have more time to act as the instructional leader of the building.  I truly enjoy working with students, staff, and our families. I have two children that attend Warrensburg-Latham schools and feel so fortunate that my children are receiving a rich, quality educational experience.  I truly love our small town, close community feeling we have here at WLES and look forward to many more years within the district.
